Menopausal Symptoms

Symptoms of Menopause

Menopausal symptoms can divided into two categories.

  1. Vasomotor Symptoms consist of symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, trouble sleeping and problems with concentration. These symptoms may resolve in time, but studies now suspect they may persist for 4 to 10 years and sometimes longer.
  2. Genitourinary Symptoms consist of vaginal dryness, pain with intercourse, urinary symptoms such as frequency, urgency, up at night to urinate, leakage, decrease in sex drive and problems with orgasms. These symptoms do not resolve without treatment, such as the MonaLisa Touch.
